1. Service Changes and Versioning

We strive to make changes to the service that will not require changes for our users.

However, sometimes it might be necessary to make breaking changes and this might happen without any prior notice.

2. Usage Guidelines

2.1 Responsible Usage

Users are expected to interact with the API in a manner that adheres to acceptable usage practices, e.g requesting data only when needed. Excessive, abusive, or disruptive behavior - such as overwhelming the service with unnecessary requests—will not be permitted and can result in blocking your access.

2.2 Authentication

No authentication needed, but this service may use information in the requests to identify all requests coming from a specific AI-agent application or session.

2.3 Rate Limiting

To ensure fair usage, we enforce rate limits. If your requests exceed these limits, you will get an error to your request.

We might block users without any prior in order to maintain a stable service.

2.4 Request to Unblock

Blocked users may contact us at mcp-server@met.no to request an unblock. Each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and we reserve the right to refuse service to users who violate these terms repeatedly.

2.5 Request for higher traffic rates

If your needs exceed our rate limits, you can contact us, describe your needs and we might be able to find a solution.

3. Licensing

Unless specified otherwise, all data and products are licensed under Creative Commons 4.0 BY International(https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.no).

You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

4. Service quality

We disclaim any responsibility for direct and indirect losses resulting from the use, malfunction, or unavailability of the service.

The data coming from this service, and the information generated by an AI-system using this data may be wrong and/or misleading and should not be taken as truth.

5. Feedback

If you encounter any errors, bugs, security vulnerabilities, unauthorized access, or other issues while using the API, we encourage you to report them to us at mcp-server@met.no.
